She Teaches Kindness Through Brilliant "Love Ninja Strategy"

A fifth grade teacher from Naples, Florida, Kathy Pitt, has come up with a secret method for preventing bullying in her classroom. She started after the Columbine High School shooting in Colorado in 1999.
“Because that was the day she realized that kids have to be seen,” Glennon Doyle Melton said (mother of one of Pitt's students). “All of them. They can fall through the cracks. And if they’re not seen, they’ll find a way to be seen.”
Pitt has been collecting clues from students for the last 15 years, by passing out index cards and asking students to write down a classmate they'd like to work with in class. Through these "secret ballots" she's able to see which students are being left out and need to be monitored more closely. Watch the video from the Today Show below.
