"Unlike America's standard-sterile neighborhood playgrounds, here, imagination and risk rule."

According to this video by NBC Nightly News, there are new playgrounds popping up around Europe and some major cities in America that are nowhere near your traditional playgrounds. They're being called Adventure Playgrounds, and you won't see your typical swings, slides, and monkey bars. Instead, you'll find real hammers and nails, pallets, lumber, and other equipment "designed for exploration".

"Experts say this type of play is vital for jumpstarting kids' creativity and independence."

Have you seen an adventure playground? Do you think more schools and/or cities should make them? Watch the video below and let us know what you think!
