Teaching is and always has been one of the greatest and most rewarding professions, with the relationships and influences that are formed, lasting far beyond what anyone can truly fathom. However, such rewards are met with remarkable challenges that truly test one’s flexibility. They can push a teacher to the brink of their patience, beyond what can be fixed with box-wine and the euphoric feeling of “accidentally” leaving the papers you need to grade at school.

These 8 VLIPS portray some of the feelings and reactions teachers face at the end of the school year (click each VLIP for volume & again to turn the volume off). Enjoy!

1. When you’ve had the day from hell and remember that you have a parent meeting at 2:15 pm…

2. When you’ve been swamped with testing and remember that grades are due by the end of the day…

3. When a student says you must hate them because you did not round up their 65 to a passing grade…

4. When it’s the last week of school AND a full moon…

5. When you’re getting your final observation and a student starts to misbehave…

6. When a student brings you treats to thank you for a great year…

7. When saying goodbye to the class after a long school year…

8. And of course, when the bell rings on the last day of school… (language warning)
