I was in target working my summer job this year. I overheard two women with little kids discussing their worries that summer break was almost over. One mom said to the other that she wished that school could go all year. I said excuse me but I am teacher and would have to disagree. They scoffed at me and left. I wanted to say why don’t you have their teacher take them home so they can raise them. Parents!
I have one from my first year teaching YEARS ago. I had a parent asked me to take away their child’s recess if the child did not do their chores at home.
Teacher: “why did you throw all that paper on the floor of the classroom? You wouldn’t do that at home would you?
Student: @Well, army house the maid gets it…”
Well, what am supposed to do?! If i take away his Playstation, he won’t like me. —said to me by a parent whose child was failing my class.
