I am on LSL but still have the teacher voice. Everyone knows how much Chinese tourists like to take photos. Well, I was at the famous East Side Wall in Berlin. A couple and myself were waiting for the bus load of Chinese tourist to take their photos in front of a particular wall mural because we wanted one. Anyway, I got the couple in and took their photo. Happy days..then the next Chinese person jumps straight back in. Finally, I have had enough and I say, ‘No, it is my turn, move out of the way’ They all stopped and were silent..I got a great photo..I will use my teacher voice more often. 😂
I am always buying random things especially supplies on sale at Walmart. The cashiers would look at me and said, “Either you have a kid starting school or you’re the teacher starting school.”
I teach in a small town where everyone knows you. But I was astonished when I went through the drive-thru at a local fast food chain and all the workers recognized my voice over the intercom and came to say hello at the window. I had taught all of them!!!
You can tell I’m a teacher because if I’m out and see someone struggling with something, I automatically go help them.
I went out to brunch with a group of friends and when the server came over to tell us about the specials I raised my hand to ask a question. He said “you must be a teacher”. I didn’t even realize raising my hand wasn’t normal!
